ICE arrests Guatemalan national with prior criminal convictions

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has taken Selvin Perez Thomas, a 24-year-old Guatemalan citizen, into custody on February 26 in San Diego. Perez is noted for having a criminal record that includes offenses such as driving under the influence, hit-and-run causing death or injury, and conspiracy to file a fraudulent insurance claim.

Perez has previously been deported from the United States on two occasions. He is now in ICE custody awaiting removal proceedings.
