Kenneth Genalo Acting Deputy Director | U.S. Immigration And Customs Enforcement
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Dallas has deported Syed Rizvi, a Pakistani national, who was identified as a national security priority. The removal took place on February 25.
Rizvi, aged 56, had been ordered to leave the United States after U.S. intelligence sources classified him as a national security threat. This decision aligns with the Immigration and Nationality Act.
"Illegal aliens suspected or known to have ties to organizations that threaten public safety will not find refuge in the U.S.," stated Josh Johnson, acting Director of the Enforcement and Removals Operations (ERO) Dallas Field Office. "Our most important priority is to arrest and remove those who pose an imminent danger to the citizens of the U.S."
Before his deportation, Rizvi was living in Dallas without proper authorization. His arrest by ERO Dallas occurred on January 31 during a routine traffic stop. An immigration judge had ordered his removal earlier on January 24.
Rizvi originally entered the United States legally through New York on September 20, 2017, but later violated his admission terms.
The public is encouraged to report any crimes or suspicious activities by calling 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) or by using an online tip form.
