Binghamton woman sentenced for escaping custody and meth distribution

Jade A. Pittsley, a 34-year-old resident of Binghamton, New York, has been sentenced to eight years in prison. This follows her guilty plea for escaping federal custody and possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Daniel Hanlon, Erin Keegan, Special Agent in Charge of the Buffalo Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and United States Marshal David L. McNulty.

Pittsley admitted that in November 2023, while serving a federal sentence for a methamphetamine-related drug offense, she was under the supervision of a halfway house. She failed to return as directed and was later found by law enforcement carrying methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

In addition to the prison term, United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino imposed a four-year term of supervised release to begin after Pittsley's release from prison.

The case was investigated by HSI and the U.S. Marshals Service with assistance from the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mikayla Espinosa and Kristen Grabowski.
