Every day, women play a crucial role in inspiring and supporting their families, communities, and the nation. Women's History Month offers an opportunity to recognize the significant contributions women have made to the United States.
The President and First Lady honor American women from various backgrounds who have been vital to the country's prosperity. The President acknowledges female leaders within his administration, noting their expertise in business, policy, national security, law, and public service.
The administration is committed to safeguarding values such as family and freedom by opposing ideologies that replace women with men in spaces meant for women or encourage gender extremism. The President states that nearly 80 percent of Americans support these efforts.
On his first day in office, the President signed an Executive Order recognizing biological sex distinctions on government forms. This includes changes to passport issuance policies.
Additionally, an Executive Order was signed to protect women's sports by directing Title IX actions against schools that do not ensure fair competition for female athletes. As a result, organizations like the National College Athletic Association have adjusted their policies accordingly.
The administration also focuses on securing borders, deporting illegal criminal aliens, rebuilding the economy, promoting school choice, improving health care access including in vitro fertilization, among other initiatives aimed at supporting American women and families.
In proclaiming March 2025 as Women's History Month, the President calls on all Americans to celebrate exceptional women nationwide.
