White House gardens open for spring tours on April weekend

The White House will welcome visitors to its gardens and grounds this spring, offering a chance to explore the South Lawn, Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, and the White House Kitchen Garden. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Sunday, April 6, from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

"First Lady Melania Trump Announces 2025 Spring Garden Tours," stated the official announcement. The tours are free and open to the public but require a ticket for entry. Tickets will be distributed by the National Park Service at a tent outside the White House Visitor Center starting at 8:30 AM on each tour day. The center is located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, DC.

Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis with one ticket per person policy in place. Visitors should be aware of prohibited items which include aerosols, animals (except guide dogs), pointed objects, oversized backpacks, balloons, beverages of any kind, duffle bags or suitcases, electric stun guns, fireworks or firecrackers, food of any kind, guns or ammunition among others.

Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed along with umbrellas without metal tips and cameras. Items necessary for medical purposes such as wheelchairs and EpiPens will also be permitted upon explanation to Secret Service personnel.
