U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported Christopher Anthony Frater, a 32-year-old Canadian citizen, back to Canada under the Canadian Treaty Transfer program. This action took place on March 7, allowing Frater to serve the remainder of his federal sentence in Canada for drug trafficking.
Frater initially entered the United States around July 11, 2022, violating the terms of his admission. On September 14, 2023, he was convicted by the U.S. District Court in Nebraska for possession with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. He received a sentence of 120 months in prison.
ICE located Frater at the Federal Correctional Institution in Ray Brook, New York. Due to his alien status and federal conviction, ICE determined that he was eligible for removal from the United States.
