The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has initiated an international advertising campaign aimed at discouraging illegal immigration to the United States. The multimillion-dollar effort, which will span radio, broadcast, and digital platforms in various countries and dialects, seeks to convey a strong warning against illegal entry into the country.
The ads will employ hyper-targeted strategies including social media, text messages, and other digital methods to reach global audiences effectively. This initiative aligns with the administration's stringent stance on border security.
Secretary Kristi Noem emphasized the administration's position by stating: “Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for securing our border and putting America first. President Trump has a clear message: if you are here illegally, we will find you and deport you. You will never return. But if you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American Dream.”
She further addressed potential illegal entrants directly: “If you are a criminal alien considering entering America illegally: Don’t even think about it. If you come here and break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States.”
The campaign reflects ongoing efforts under President Trump's administration to enforce immigration laws strictly.
