President Donald J. Trump has enacted a Proclamation under the Alien Enemies Act, addressing what he described as an invasion by the Foreign Terrorist Organization Tren De Aragua (TDA). The proclamation leverages his presidential powers to respond to what is termed an urgent threat against American citizens.
"TDA is one of the most violent and ruthless terrorist gangs on planet earth. They rape, maim and murder for sport," stated the press release from the Press Secretary. The organization is held accountable for serious crimes within the United States, including murders linked to individuals Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray.
According to the statement, TDA represents a significant national security threat. In response, directed by President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security conducted operations over the weekend that led to nearly 300 arrests of TDA affiliates. "Thanks to the great work of the Department of State, these heinous monsters were extracted and removed to El Salvador where they will no longer be able to pose any threat to the American People," it noted.
The administration emphasized its commitment to safeguarding Americans from foreign threats. "President Trump will always put the safety of the American People first — and he will never allow foreign terrorist enemies to operate on American soil and endanger our people," asserted in their statement. The proclamation underscores efforts not only in arresting but also in dismantling networks associated with such threats.
