Pennsylvania man pleads guilty to child pornography charges

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo has announced that Dylan C. Irvin, a 26-year-old resident of Bradford, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to the charge of receipt of child pornography. The plea was entered before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara and carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, with a potential maximum sentence of 20 years.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who is managing the case, reported that Irvin engaged in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl around June or July 2023. Irvin recorded this activity using his cell phone and subsequently received the video on a Snapchat account he controlled. Following his arrest on March 5, 2024, on state charges related to this incident, authorities seized his cell phone and discovered the video during their investigation.

The investigation leading to Irvin's plea involved several law enforcement agencies: the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia; the New York State Police led by Major Amie Feroleto; and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office directed by Sheriff Eric Butler.

Irvin's sentencing is set for May 28, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., where Judge Arcara will preside over the proceedings.
