U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo has announced that Andiyer Eduardo Con Yucutie, a 25-year-old Guatemalan citizen, has pleaded guilty to reentering the United States after being deported. Yucutie was sentenced to time served by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara and subsequently handed over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Andrew Henning and Sasha Mascarenhas provided details on the case, confirming that Yucutie had no legal status in the United States and was originally deported to Guatemala in July 2024. However, he was found again in the United States at the Lewiston Bridge Port of Entry on January 25, 2025. A records check confirmed his identity as the individual previously deported.
The investigation leading to Yucutie's plea and sentencing was conducted by Customs and Border Protection, led by Director of Field Operations Rose Brophy.
