Quad Cities man receives lengthy sentence for racketeering and drug-related offenses

A man from the Quad Cities has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison for his involvement in a racketeering conspiracy and possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute. On March 13, 2025, Timothy Justin Beaver, aged 30, received a sentence of 235 months following evidence presented at trials and sentencing.

Beaver was identified as a member of the Fifth Street gang, also known by several other names including Arsenal Courts Posse and Rock Town Money Getters. The gang has been involved in various violent activities over the years, such as murder and drug trafficking across Davenport and Rock Island. Evidence linked the group to numerous shooting incidents and at least seven homicides spanning two decades.

Upon completing his prison term, Beaver will serve an additional three-year period under supervised release. The federal system does not offer parole options.

Other individuals involved in this case have also faced legal consequences. Ricky Lee Childs Jr., aged 40 from Peoria, Illinois, was sentenced on January 23, 2025, receiving a 160-month prison term followed by supervised release for his role in the conspiracy.

Rasheem Damonte Bogan, known as "Sheem," pleaded guilty on February 10, 2025, to charges of racketeering conspiracy and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Bogan is awaiting sentencing on June 10, 2025, with potential imprisonment up to 30 years.

Another co-defendant Kylea Dapri Cartwright Jr., aged 28 from the Quad Cities area, was found guilty after a jury trial on February 20, 2025. He faces charges related to racketeering conspiracy and illegal possession of ammunition as a felon. Cartwright's sentencing is set for July 10, 2025.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa. The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies including the Davenport and Rock Island Police Departments alongside federal entities like the FBI and DEA.
