Grant County woman admits to methamphetamine distribution charge

Theresa Marie Lipkey, a 43-year-old resident of Petersburg, West Virginia, has confessed to charges related to drug distribution. The charge involves possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Court documents and statements reveal that Lipkey's vehicle was searched during a traffic stop on her way from Morgantown to Petersburg. Authorities seized 129 grams of methamphetamine during this search.

Lipkey could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. A federal district court judge will determine the final sentence after evaluating the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory factors.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force, which is supported by HIDTA funding.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the proceedings.
