U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported Juan Jasso-Botello, a 44-year-old fugitive wanted in Mexico on charges of family violence. The deportation took place on March 25.
ICE officials transferred Jasso-Botello from the Florence Detention Center to the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales. At this location, he was handed over to Mexican authorities.
"The removal of Juan Jasso demonstrates the collaborative, whole of government approach that ICE supports in protecting the citizens of the U.S.," stated John Cantu, Director of the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Phoenix Field Office. He further commented, "Our dedicated officers and partners in law enforcement have worked tirelessly to ensure that such individuals are brought to justice and then removed from the United States."
Jasso-Botello entered the United States illegally on November 1, 2024. He was apprehended the following day on November 2, 2024, near Newfield.
