J’Quarius J’Vontay Austin, an 18-year-old resident of Idabel, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to stealing firearms from a federal firearms licensed dealer. The announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The indictment accused Austin of knowingly stealing four semi-automatic pistols on December 23, 2024, from a dealer licensed to sell firearms. This case resulted from an investigation carried out by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, along with the Broken Bow Police Department and the Idabel Police Department.
U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted the guilty plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, directing a presentence investigation report to be conducted. Until sentencing, Austin will remain in the custody of the United States Marshals Service.
