Foreign national sentenced to prison for unlawful reentry

David Origel-Villalobos, often using aliases such as David Villalobos Origel and Michael Ryan Martinez, has been sentenced to eight months in prison for unlawful reentry into the United States. This announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The legal proceedings were a result of an investigation conducted by the Leflore County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations.

Origel-Villalobos previously pleaded guilty on October 4, 2024, to the charge of unlawful reentry. The charge was based on an incident from August 22, 2023, when he was discovered in the United States after being deported on three separate occasions. Officials noted that he did not have the necessary permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to re-enter the country.

The sentence was delivered by Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Origel-Villalobos is to remain under the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transferred to a federal prison where he will serve his sentence without the possibility of parole.

Representing the United States in the case were Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jacob R. Parker and Patrick M. Flanigan.
