Julia Pollak named chief economist at US Department of Labor

Her career also includes roles as a doctoral fellow and assistant policy analyst at RAND Corporation and as an adjunct instructor of economics at Pepperdine University. Additionally, she has been a research assistant for defense studies at the Heritage Foundation.

Pollak is an alumna of Harvard University and holds a Master of Philosophy in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Her background also includes service as a drilling reservist in the U.S. Navy from 2011 to 2022.
