Tony’s Chocolonely Inc., based in New York, has initiated a voluntary recall of specific lots of its Dark Almond Sea Salt Bar and Everything Bar, both weighing 6.35oz. The recall is due to the possibility of small stones being present in these products.
The affected chocolates were distributed throughout the United States, both through retail stores and online at www.tonyschocolonely.com. Distribution began on February 7, 2025, and concluded on March 24, 2025.
The recall follows 12 reports outside of the United States and Canada where consumers discovered small stones in the chocolates. The stones were not filtered during the third-party almond harvesting and almond processing phases. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Consumers who have purchased these products and have not consumed them are advised against eating the chocolate. Refund or replacement is available at the store of purchase, or the product can be disposed of.
