Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is set to embark on a trip early next week, according to Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell. The trip will include a stop in Panama City, Panama, where the Secretary will participate in the 2025 Central American Security Conference (CENTSEC).
The purpose of Secretary Hegseth's visit to Panama is to engage with senior civilian, military, and security leadership from partner nations. The meetings aim to bolster ongoing efforts to fortify partnerships with Panama and other Central American countries, aligning towards a mutual goal of maintaining peace and security in the Western Hemisphere.
Following his visit to Panama, Secretary Hegseth will travel to Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) in Florida. There, he plans to connect with service members and engage with the command leadership at the 7th Special Forces Group.
