The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has announced the termination of 63 contracts deemed "wasteful," with a total ceiling value of $124 million. This announcement was made in a post on the social media platform X on April 5.
According to DOGE, among the terminated contracts is a $1.25 million marketing consulting contract from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services for "Google AdWords management." Additionally, a $1.9 million consulting contract from the U.S. Department of State for "global advisory and support services" for the Republic of Palau in the Micronesia region was also canceled.
In an earlier update, DOGE reported that agencies had canceled another 47 wasteful contracts valued at $87.5 million, which resulted in savings of $30.2 million. This included a $3.4 million contract from the U.S. Department of State for "aviation advisors in Kenya."
