Jace Fox, a 25-year-old from Rolla, North Dakota, has been sentenced to 51 months in federal prison followed by 20 years of supervised release for the sexual abuse of a minor. Chief Judge Peter Welte handed down the sentence at the United States District Court on April 4, 2025. Fox was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment fee.
Court records indicate that in February 2022, a victim identified as Jane Doe underwent a forensic interview where she disclosed that Fox sexually abused her when she was 13 years old. At the time of the incident, Fox was 20 years old. The investigation uncovered additional allegations from other minors who claimed that Fox had sexually abused them.
In January 2023, Fox was interviewed by the FBI. Initially, he denied knowing Jane Doe but later admitted to knowing her, though he continued to deny any abuse. However, Fox eventually pleaded guilty to the sexual abuse of Jane Doe on November 19, 2024.
"This was a despicable crime committed against one of the most vulnerable members of our community," stated Special Agent in Charge Alvin M. Winston Sr. of FBI Minneapolis. "The FBI and our partners are fully committed to protecting children from abuse and ensuring those who exploit or harm them face justice swiftly."
The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of North Dakota prosecuted the case.
