Today, Howard Lutnick, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, revealed the lineup of global business leaders and U.S. Governors who will be part of the 2025 SelectUSA Investment Summit. The summit is scheduled to take place from May 11 to 14 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
“President Trump’s America First Investment Policy is revitalizing our economy and making the United States of America the most attractive destination for foreign direct investment,” said Secretary Lutnick. “SelectUSA is an integral part of our Administration’s efforts to increase foreign investments across the country. We look forward to hosting the 2025 SelectUSA Investment Summit at the Gaylord Convention Center beginning on May 11th.”
According to the Kearney Global Business Policy Council’s 2025 Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index, the United States has maintained its position as the top destination for foreign direct investment for the 13th consecutive year. This sustained ranking is attributed to the country's technological advances and consistent economic performance. SelectUSA has been pivotal in fostering conditions for the United States to sustain this premier status.
The summit will feature executive leadership from global businesses as main stage speakers, with significant involvement from U.S. Governors.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit offers a platform for foreign investors to announce their expansion plans in the United States. Economic development organizations will also highlight new local investments. Last year’s summit saw participation from over 5,000 individuals, including 56 U.S. states and territories, Washington, D.C., 2,500 business investors, delegates from over 90 international markets, and industry experts. It has supported over $135 billion in new U.S. investment projects, creating more than 105,000 jobs.
