Muskogee man pleads guilty to federal firearm charges

Scott Alan Bahe, a resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty to federal firearm charges, the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma confirmed. Bahe, 42, admitted to one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition and one count of Felon in Possession of Ammunition. Each charge carries a potential penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

The indictment indicated that on December 23, 2023, Bahe knowingly possessed a 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol and 10 rounds of 9mm Luger-caliber ammunition. He was also found with 39 additional rounds of assorted 9mm Luger ammunition on the same day. These possessions occurred after he had been previously convicted of a crime that carries a sentence of more than one year in prison.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Muskogee Police Department. U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson accepted Bahe's plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and has ordered a presentence investigation report.

A U.S. District Court Judge will decide the sentencing based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory considerations. Until sentencing, Bahe remains in the custody of the United States Marshals Service.

The United States' case was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Lewis M. Reagan and T. Cameron McEwen.
