Allen Green, a 73-year-old resident of Omaha, Nebraska, has been sentenced to 262 months in federal prison for his involvement in the distribution of 100 grams or more of a fentanyl analogue. This announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Matthew R. Molsen. The sentencing took place on April 15, 2025, at a federal court in Omaha, presided over by United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher. After completing his prison term, Green will also serve a 10-year term of supervised release, as federal sentencing does not allow for parole.
Authorities commenced an investigation into Green's activities after receiving tips about his alleged involvement in the distribution of controlled substances. They obtained a court order to track his cell phone location. On December 15, 2023, data indicated that Green had traveled to Chicago, Illinois, but soon returned to Omaha. He was stopped near Des Moines, Iowa, by Iowa state troopers for multiple traffic offenses. During the stop, law enforcement discovered 280 grams of a fentanyl analogue, which also contained heroin and Xylazine, in powder form inside Green's vehicle. Green acknowledged that this substance was intended for distribution in Omaha.
The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Overdose Task Force. This task force includes officers from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Omaha Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
