Brian Titman, a North Platte resident, received a federal prison sentence of 235 months following his conviction for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Acting United States Attorney Matthew R. Molsen disclosed that United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis handed down the sentence on April 10, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska. After completing his prison term, Titman will serve a 10-year supervised release period. An additional 15-month prison sentence was added due to Titman violating his initial supervised release terms.
Previously, Titman had been sentenced to a 60-month term in January 2017 for distributing a significant quantity of methamphetamine. Following his release, he breached the conditions of his supervised release, leading to a warrant in March 2023. Subsequent attempts by law enforcement to apprehend him saw him repeatedly evade capture, often at high speeds.
On March 15, 2024, after a citizen notified law enforcement about Titman's location, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Titman, accompanied by two passengers, evaded arrest once more, discarding methamphetamine, personal items, and ammunition along the way. Eventually, Titman's vehicle got trapped in a pasture, resulting in his capture alongside the other occupants.
The ensuing investigation, led by the Nebraska State Patrol and the CODE Task Force, uncovered a total of more than 600 grams of methamphetamine from various locations related to the chase and arrests.
This sentencing marks a critical moment in a series of legal challenges faced by Titman. As noted by Molsen, this case underscores law enforcement's continued efforts to combat drug distribution within the community.
