Muskogee, Oklahoma – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has reported the sentencing of Lee Edward Redman, a 52-year-old resident of Edmond, Oklahoma. Redman has been sentenced to 120 months in prison on charges of attempted coercion and enticement.
The case was investigated by the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. On November 7, 2024, Redman pleaded guilty to the charge of attempting to use the internet to lure an individual he believed to be under the age of 16 into engaging in sexual activity.
Investigators revealed that between October 21 and October 24, 2022, Redman made contact with an account he believed belonged to a young female. This account was part of an undercover operation by the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office. After learning the target's age was 15, Redman arranged a meeting for sexual intercourse. On October 24, 2022, Redman was arrested by deputies in the parking lot of a Muskogee mall, where he had planned to meet the supposed victim.
Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the sentencing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Redman is in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a Bureau of Prisons facility to begin his sentence, which does not allow parole.
The United States was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Morgan A. Muzljakovich.
