Hayden O’Byrne United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida | The Florida Bar
Adam Brosius, a resident of Delray Beach, has pleaded guilty to his involvement in a scheme to illegally distribute misbranded and adulterated HIV medications. As a part owner of Safe Chain Solutions LLC, based in Cambridge, Maryland, he admitted to engaging in the illicit acquisition and distribution of these drugs.
Court documents reveal that Brosius and his associates obtained diverted HIV medications, falsely claimed them as legitimate, and sold them through Safe Chain. The drugs, often purchased from unauthorized individuals and relabeled, were distributed to pharmacies nationwide. Some patients received incorrect medications, leading to significant health risks.
Brosius faces sentencing on August 29, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, where he could receive up to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, as announced by U.S. Attorney Hayden P. O’Byrne, along with officials from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the FBI.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander Thor Pogozelski and Trial Attorney Jacqueline DerOvanesian are managing the prosecution. Further information is available on the websites of the U.S. Attorney's Office and the District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
