Bradford County man sentenced for child pornography production in Pennsylvania

A Bradford County man, Benjamin Wheeler, has been sentenced to nearly 24 and a half years in prison for producing child pornography. The sentence, delivered by Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann on April 15, 2025, also includes a decade of supervised release.

Wheeler, 29, coerced two minors into performing sexually explicit acts on camera in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, during June and July of 2022, according to Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus.

At the sentencing, Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin presented a statement from one victim's mother describing the severe impact the crime had on her child and family.

The investigation was conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin leading the prosecution.

This case falls under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort by the Department of Justice to address child sexual exploitation initiated in May 2006. The initiative aims to harness federal, state, and local resources to prosecute offenders and support victims. More information can be found at www.usdoj.gov/psc.
