A man from Jasper County, Texas, has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison on charges related to drug trafficking activities in Newton County. This announcement was made by Acting U.S. Attorney Abe McGlothin, Jr.

The individual, identified as Jeremy O’Quinn Brown, 34, pleaded guilty to charges of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. Brown received his sentence of 264 months in federal prison on April 17, 2025, delivered by U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone.

Court information revealed that in October 2023, Brown was recognized by law enforcement as a drug trafficker dealing substantial quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana in Newton County. Following the execution of a search warrant at his residence, authorities discovered methamphetamine, cocaine, $94,997 in cash, and two firearms.
