A man from Hardin has received a two-year prison sentence for making threatening phone calls to the FBI. Glenn Gale Ware, aged 46, admitted guilt in March 2024 to the charges of placing harassing calls, according to U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme.

The sentence includes a subsequent year of supervised release, as ruled by U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters.

Court documents reveal that in May 2022, the FBI office in Billings began receiving various communications from Ware. He accused two FBI special agents of misconduct, falsely claiming they used satellite technology to threaten him and his family. These untrue allegations were also reported to the FBI's offices in Salt Lake City, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the FBI’s National Threats Operation Center, and the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office.

Ware's communications increased in mid-2023, between June 19 and August 12, when he left 29 voicemails at the FBI's Billings office. Using his personal phone, Ware often identified himself and targeted a specific FBI agent, using offensive and threatening language. The FBI has the recorded voicemails, and the targeted agent has heard them.

On August 8, 2023, Ware was interviewed by another FBI agent, where he acknowledged making the calls and leaving the messages.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin Hargrove led the prosecution, following an investigation by the FBI.
