Two individuals from Honduras have been indicted by a federal grand jury in South Florida for illegal reentry into the United States, a violation of 8 U.S.C. 1326. Marvin Wilton Max Ayala and Brayan Josue Matute-Lobo are facing charges after multiple unauthorized entries into the country.
Marvin Wilton Max Ayala, identified in case number 25-cr-20192, has reportedly entered the United States illegally at least five times. He was last encountered in South Florida on April 1 without inspection or admission by an immigration officer. His previous removals from the U.S. occurred on November 21, 2012, April 6, 2015, May 4, 2020, and August 5, 2021.
Brayan Josue Matute-Lobo is linked to case number 25-cr-20186 and has allegedly entered the U.S. unlawfully four times. He was found in South Florida on March 8 under similar circumstances as Ayala. Matute-Lobo's prior deportations took place on February 12, April 21, and December 22 of the year 2016.
Both defendants are currently detained at the Federal Detention Center in Miami as their cases proceed through the legal system.
The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Hayden O’Byrne of the Southern District of Florida and acting Field Office Director Juan Agudelo of ICE-ERO Prosecutions Unit Miami. The investigations were conducted by ICE-ERO with Special Assistant United States Attorney Melissa Roca Shaw handling prosecution duties.
