Massachusetts man sentenced to ten years for child pornography offenses

A registered sex offender from Douglas, Massachusetts, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for child pornography charges. Corey Bouchard, aged 34, received the sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Margaret R. Guzman in Worcester. Following his prison term, Bouchard will undergo five years of supervised release.

In January 2025, Bouchard pleaded guilty to accessing child pornography with the intent to view it. The charges stemmed from a complaint filed in April 2024. A search conducted in November 2023 at Bouchard's residence uncovered a cache file on his cell phone containing approximately 72 videos depicting child pornography. Many of these video files had names matching those shared by others in Kik messenger group chats that Bouchard participated in.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England; and Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble, Superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police. The Uxbridge and Douglas Police Departments provided valuable assistance during the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kaitlin J. Brown from the Worcester Branch Office prosecuted the case.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide. The project aims to locate and prosecute individuals who exploit children while also identifying and rescuing victims through coordinated efforts among federal, state, and local resources.
