The Quad partners, consisting of the United States, Australia, India, and Japan, recently gathered at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawaii. From April 28 to May 2, they participated in a Tabletop Exercise aimed at launching the Quad Indo-Pacific Logistics Network (IPLN). This simulation exercise was designed to enhance the Quad's ability to utilize shared logistics capabilities in the Indo-Pacific region. The primary goal is to support civilian responses to natural disasters more swiftly and effectively.
The IPLN initiative is part of a broader commitment by the Quad to maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific. It underscores the importance of strengthening practical cooperation among these nations to address various regional challenges. The effort is complemented by another initiative known as the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness.
