U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced the seasonal reopening of the Port of Chief Mountain in Montana, scheduled for May 15 at 9 a.m. The port will operate under different hours depending on the date: from May 15 to May 31, it will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; from June 1 to September 1, hours extend from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and from September 2 to September 30, the port reverts to its original schedule of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Port of Chief Mountain is situated on Highway 17 in Glacier County, Montana. It serves as an accessible route for travelers moving between Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park in Alberta and Glacier National Park in Montana.

"U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is America's frontline: the nation's largest law enforcement organization and the world's first unified border management agency," states CBP about its role. "The 65,000+ men and women of CBP protect America on the ground, in the air, and on the seas."

CBP encourages travelers to use tips provided by their office to expedite processing at the port.
