Jamestown man sentenced to over 17 years for child pornography distribution

A Jamestown man has been sentenced to 210 months in prison for distributing child pornography. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Brandon G. Uber, 24, was convicted and sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango detailed the case, stating that in March 2021, Uber distributed images and videos of a 16-year-old minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct via Snapchat. Uber also received similar content from other social media users and persuaded another known minor to create explicit videos for him.

The investigation revealed that Uber stored the illicit material on various electronic devices, including two cell phones and two tablets, which were seized during the investigation.

The sentencing followed an investigation conducted by Homeland Security Investigations, led by Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan; the New York State Police, under Major Amie Feroleto; and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, headed by Sheriff James Quattrone.
