The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has expressed approval for the recent announcement regarding the modernization of the National Airspace System. AIA President and CEO Eric Fanning commended Secretary Duffy and the Trump Administration for their efforts to update the air traffic control system.
Fanning stated, "The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) reiterates our strong support for the Administration, Congress, and Secretary Duffy’s plan to prioritize the modernization of the U.S. National Airspace System." He highlighted that this initiative is supported by strategic investments outlined in both the President's Budget Request and reconciliation proposals. Fanning described it as a "bold, unified commitment to ensuring the United States continues to be the global leader in air navigation technologies and services."
As part of its role within the Modern Skies Coalition, AIA plans to collaborate with government and industry stakeholders on this project. The goal is to implement a modernized National Airspace System while maintaining safety standards.
