Stephanie Ann Allen, a 34-year-old resident of West Virginia, has been sentenced to over 12 years in federal prison. The sentence was handed down for charges related to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Court documents reveal that law enforcement officers observed Allen engaging in suspicious behavior in a Morgantown parking lot. A subsequent search of her vehicle uncovered 73 grams of methamphetamine and 7 grams of fentanyl. Allen's criminal record includes previous convictions for burglary, robbery, and drug possession.
Following her prison term, Allen will be subject to three years of supervised release.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Mon Metro Drug Task Force, which is funded by HIDTA.
Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the proceedings.
