Jordan Crenshaw, Senior Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Technology Engagement Center, has expressed approval for the progress of the "TAKE IT DOWN Act." The act has successfully passed both the House and Senate and is on its way to enactment.

"The bipartisan, bicameral passage of the 'TAKE IT DOWN Act' marks an important milestone for the U.S. in its efforts to bolster AI innovation, while effectively addressing its associated risks," Crenshaw said. He emphasized that this legislation is essential in preventing harmful sexually explicit deepfake images on the Internet and sets a balanced precedent for AI regulation that respects existing laws.

Crenshaw also commended Senator Ted Cruz for his leadership on this legislation and acknowledged President Trump and the First Lady for their commitment to its successful enactment.

The Chamber has been a long-time supporter of the "TAKE IT DOWN Act," having led a coalition and sent a letter supporting its passage in the House. They also applauded its passage in the Senate late last year.
