S. Lane Tucker, U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney's Office District of Alaska
An Ohio resident, Christian Landry, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on May 8, 2025, for trafficking methamphetamine to Anchorage. The sentencing concludes an investigation into a drug conspiracy that began in late 2022.
Court documents reveal that Landry, aged 32 and from Shaker Heights, Ohio, traveled multiple times to Alaska in 2022 and 2023 to distribute meth. The investigation started when an undercover officer purchased meth from Elzie Isley, a local dealer in Anchorage. Law enforcement identified Landry as one of Isley's sources, allegedly responsible for bringing over 20 pounds of meth from the Lower 48 states to Alaska.
On February 9, 2023, law enforcement executed a search warrant at the residence where Landry was staying with another co-defendant. They found a loaded pistol, more than $20,000 in cash, and several pounds of methamphetamine. In total during the investigation, officers seized over $34,000 and confiscated 23 firearms linked to the drug operation.
U.S. Attorney Michael J. Heyman stated: "This case is yet another example of a drug trafficking organization flooding Anchorage with dangerous narcotics from the Lower 48." He emphasized collaboration with law enforcement partners to protect communities from such threats.
ATF Seattle Special Agent Jonathan Blais remarked: “Drugs and guns are always a losing combination,” noting that Mr. Landry's actions endangered Alaskans and resulted in his imprisonment.
Other conspirators involved include Elzie Isley who pleaded guilty on December 14, 2023; Antonio Wallace who pleaded guilty on October 18, 2023; Ricky Lokeni who pleaded guilty on January 9, 2024; Ryann Hobert who pleaded guilty on November 8, 2023; and Jaron Steele who was sentenced after pleading guilty.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Anchorage Field Office led the investigation with support from the Anchorage Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Seth Beausang prosecuted the case.
