U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently concluded a four-day operation in northern Nevada, resulting in the arrest of 52 individuals identified as illegal aliens. The operation, conducted from May 5 to May 8, aimed to enhance public safety in areas including Carson City and Reno.
ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations collaborated with various interagency partners to identify, detain, and remove individuals deemed dangerous criminals residing illegally in the United States. ICE has encouraged those in similar situations to use the CBP Home app for self-deportation to avoid arrest.
Among those arrested were Ernesto Lopez-Barrios, 50, from El Salvador, convicted of child molestation and DUI; Luis Urbina-Bucio, 36, from Mexico in Reno, convicted of battery and carrying a concealed weapon; Ariberto Roque-Sanchez, 32, from Mexico in Carson City, convicted of statutory sexual seduction; and Rodolfo Hernandez-Yanez, 52, from Mexico in Carson City, convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
The operation saw collaboration with several federal law enforcement agencies such as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), FBI, ATF, U.S. Marshals Service, along with local law enforcement entities.
