Ariana Sweets recalls Afghani corn bread over undeclared allergens

Ariana Sweets Inc., based in Fremont, California, has announced a recall of its AFGHANI CORN BREAD “Doda” due to the presence of undeclared sesame and wheat. The recall applies to products manufactured before April 24, 2025. This action is crucial for individuals with allergies or severe sensitivities to these ingredients, as consuming the product could lead to serious or life-threatening reactions.

The affected corn bread was distributed to retail locations throughout California. It is packaged in a plastic bag and sold as a shelf-stable 24 oz round sweet bread, identifiable by the UPC number 753182432670.

No illnesses related to this issue have been reported so far. The problem was identified during a routine inspection by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which found that the packaging did not disclose the presence of sesame and wheat.

Ariana Sweets Inc. advises customers who have purchased this product and have sesame or wheat allergies not to consume it. Instead, they should dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
