Elkins man sentenced to four years for drug trafficking

Richard Emery Delphey, a 52-year-old resident of Elkins, West Virginia, has been sentenced to four years in prison for methamphetamine distribution. The court documents revealed that Delphey was involved in selling methamphetamine within Randolph County. His criminal history includes prior convictions related to drugs and theft.

Following his incarceration, Delphey will undergo three years of supervised release. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner represented the government in this case.

The investigation was carried out by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force, which is funded by HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas). Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the proceedings.
