U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has concluded her trade delegation visit to the United Kingdom, following President Donald J. Trump's announcement of a historic U.K. trade deal aimed at lowering tariffs and increasing market access for American agricultural products.

"This trade delegation to the U.K. has been essential to put U.S. Farmers First on the world stage and expand market access for the bounty of American Agriculture," said Secretary Rollins. She emphasized that American farmers produce "the safest, highest quality food in the world."

During her visit, Secretary Rollins met with key figures including U.S. Ambassador to the U.K., Warren Stephens, and members of Parliament such as Rt. Hon. Steve Reed from DEFRA and Rt. Hon. Jonathan Reynolds from DBT.

The discussions focused on reducing non-tariff barriers for U.S. agricultural products and promoting regulatory alignment based on a science-based risk approach to ensure food safety.

On day two, Secretary Rollins visited supply chain sites such as Wanis Limited and Tilda Rice Milling LTD, highlighting opportunities for increased exports of un-milled rice and other agricultural goods.

She also met with Varun Chandra at 10 Downing Street to discuss ongoing trade negotiations between the two nations.

Secretary Rollins' agenda included advocating for increased imports of U.S.-produced ethanol and biofuels into the U.K., which she discussed with leadership from DESNZ including Ed Miliband.

Her final day involved visiting Whole Foods in London to showcase American brands on grocery shelves.

Throughout her visit, Secretary Rollins worked towards securing fair market access for American exporters while addressing public misperceptions about the safety and quality of American agricultural products.
