Construction work on du Pont Street in St. Leonard, New Brunswick will temporarily halt vehicle access to the Van Buren Port of Entry starting June 9, 2025, at 6:00 am. The port will remain operational for pedestrian processing and public inquiries during this period.
The construction is scheduled to conclude by 10:00 pm on June 11, 2025, after which vehicle traffic can resume. However, commercial trucks will be restricted from using the road for an additional three to five days post-construction.
Travelers are advised to consider alternative routes through either the Port of Madawaska or the Port of Hamlin during this closure.
