Pocahontas County man sentenced to 46 months for meth trafficking

Joshua Ray Vanreenan, a 37-year-old resident of Hillsboro, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for methamphetamine distribution. The sentencing took place in Elkins, West Virginia.

Court documents and statements revealed that Vanreenan was involved in selling methamphetamine from his home located in Pocahontas County. He has previous convictions related to firearms and is subject to a domestic violence protection order.

Following his prison term, Vanreenan will undergo three years of supervised release.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner. The investigation was conducted by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force, which is supported by HIDTA funding.

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the proceedings.
