Jackson man sentenced for drug distribution conspiracy

A Jackson man, Marcus Guice, received a sentence on May 30, 2025, of 175 months in federal prison and three years of supervised release for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. Additionally, he was sentenced to another 175 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine. Both sentences will run concurrently. Due to his violation of federal supervised release conditions, Guice was given an extra 46-month prison term to be served consecutively.

Court documents revealed that between December 2019 and January 2020, communications involving Guice and his coconspirators were intercepted as they negotiated and conducted the sale of marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine (cocaine base), and methamphetamine in Jackson, Mississippi. The group is held accountable for distributing over 69,000 kilograms of converted drug weight during this period.

Guice has also been ordered to pay a $1,500 fine.

The announcement came from Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon of the Southern District of Mississippi and Special Agent in Charge Robert Eikhoff from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The investigation was carried out by the FBI alongside the Jackson Police Department and Ridgeland Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Keesha Middleton prosecuted the case.
