Comer expands investigation into alleged cover-up of Biden's mental health

As part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of a cover-up regarding President Joe Biden's mental decline and potentially unauthorized executive actions, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer has expanded the probe. Comer sent letters to five former senior White House aides requesting their appearance for transcribed interviews.

Chairman Comer stated, "The American people deserve full transparency and the House Oversight Committee is conducting a thorough investigation to provide answers and accountability. The cover-up of President Biden’s mental decline is one of the greatest scandals in our nation’s history. These five former senior advisors were eyewitnesses to President Biden’s condition and operations within the Biden White House."

A new book titled "Original Sin" claims that someone familiar with the internal dynamics at the White House described it as being run by "five people," with President Biden as "at best a senior member of the board." Previously, Comer had subpoenaed three key White House aides—Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, and Ashley Williams—and requested an interview with Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Biden's physician. However, these requests were obstructed by the Biden administration.

Comer has renewed his request for Dr. O'Connor and former aides Annie Tomasini, Anthony Bernal, Ashley Williams, and Neera Tanden to appear for interviews. If they do not voluntarily comply, subpoenas will be issued.

Letters were sent to:

- Michael Donilon, former Senior Advisor

- Anita Dunn, former Senior Advisor for Communications

- Ronald Klain, former Chief of Staff

- Bruce Reed, former Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy

- Steve Ricchetti, former Counselor

Democrats on the Oversight Committee maintain that President Biden remains sharp and effective in his role.
