Devonne Keith Brown, a 56-year-old resident of the District of Columbia, has been arraigned on a federal child pornography charge. This was announced by U.S. Attorney Jeannine Pirro and FBI Assistant Director in Charge Steven Jensen from the Washington Field Office.
The FBI reports that Brown was employed at a school located in Northeast Washington, D.C., and may have also been involved with a local youth track club.
Brown faces one count of receipt of child pornography. He appeared today in U.S. District Court and has been ordered detained until his hearing on June 4, 2025.
Court documents allege that Brown solicited the production of child sexual abuse material from a minor residing in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
The investigation is being conducted by the FBI Washington Field Office, while prosecution is handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the FBI.
It is important to note that a criminal complaint is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
