House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer has issued a subpoena to Dr. Kevin O’Connor, President Joe Biden’s physician. Dr. O'Connor is required to appear for a deposition on June 27, 2025, as part of an investigation into allegations concerning the concealment of President Biden's cognitive decline and potentially unauthorized executive actions.

Chairman Comer had previously requested that Dr. O’Connor voluntarily participate in a transcribed interview, which he declined. In the last Congress, a similar request was made by Chairman Comer for Dr. O’Connor to discuss his medical evaluations and any involvement in alleged influence peddling by the Biden family. This request was blocked by the White House.

In a letter to Dr. O’Connor dated May 22, 2025, Chairman Comer noted the committee's interest in his February 2024 assessment of President Biden as "a healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male." The committee seeks to understand whether Dr. O'Connor's financial ties with the Biden family may have influenced his assessment of President Biden's physical and mental fitness for office. Chairman Comer emphasized that Dr. O'Connor's testimony is crucial for advancing the committee’s oversight responsibilities.

The subpoena requires Dr. O’Connor to testify at a deposition scheduled for June 27, 2025.
