Fort Dodge man pleads guilty to distributing meth

Aaron StandsAndLooksBack, also known as Aaron Woodman, aged 42 from Fort Dodge, Iowa, has entered a guilty plea in federal court to charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. The plea was made on June 4, 2025, in Sioux City.

During the hearing, StandsAndLooksBack confessed to conspiring with others to distribute a minimum of 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine between December 2020 and December 2023. It was revealed that he acquired methamphetamine through purchase or theft for distribution purposes. Additionally, he admitted to stealing significant quantities of methamphetamine from his mother and selling it within the Fort Dodge area.

Sentencing will be determined by United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand after a presentence report is completed. StandsAndLooksBack remains in custody under the supervision of the United States Marshal until sentencing. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years' imprisonment and could receive up to life imprisonment, along with a $10 million fine and at least five years of supervised release post-imprisonment.
