Restoration News has announced the launch of RestoretheMilitary.com, a platform aimed at identifying and exposing senior military officers alleged to have promoted progressive ideology within the U.S. Armed Forces.

According to Restoration News, the progressive transformation of the U.S. military began under President Bill Clinton and has accelerated through successive administrations via policies that prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) over combat readiness. The organization argues that this ideological shift has undermined traditional military values, unit cohesion, and operational effectiveness. RestoretheMilitary.com was launched to name high-ranking officers it claims are responsible for this trend and to support Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s effort to restore military discipline and meritocracy.

Brigadier General Andrew Saslav, Colonel Benjamin Jonsson, and Rear Admiral Derek Trinque are among the officers named on RestoretheMilitary.com for publicly supporting policies that Restoration News contends are politically driven. Jonsson authored a 2020 editorial in Air Force Times asserting that "institutional racism" exists in the military and advocated for DEI-based reforms to address it. Trinque has been cited for praising Dr. Anthony Fauci, supporting COVID-era mandates, and endorsing DEI as a method to improve "cohesion," positions the site claims diminish meritocratic standards in leadership.

Public trust in the military has declined sharply, with the Ronald Reagan Institute’s 2023 National Defense Survey showing that only 46% of Americans have "a great deal of trust and confidence" in the military, down from 70% in 2018. A significant share of respondents attributed the decline to concerns over "woke" policies and politicized leadership. The report highlights growing bipartisan concern that the military is becoming a vehicle for social experimentation, a trend RestoretheMilitary.com claims it is working to reverse.

Restoration News is affiliated with the Foundation for the Restoration of America, which promotes limited government, constitutional values, and traditional American principles. The outlet publishes commentary and investigative journalism aimed at countering perceived left-wing ideological influence across U.S. institutions. Its latest initiative serves as a tool for documenting what it views as the politicization of senior military leadership and aims to provide transparency and accountability within the Armed Forces.
